Understanding your hosting disk space and bandwidth

Disk space is the total storage your account uses: website files, databases, emails, and backups all count toward it.

Bandwidth (sometimes called data transfer) is the amount of data sent to visitors when they load your site. High-traffic sites or large media files use more bandwidth.

You can check your current usage:

  • DirectAdmin — on your account dashboard, usage is shown as progress bars near the top of the page.
  • cPanel — in the Statistics sidebar on the left of the main screen.

You can also check your service details in the client area. If you are approaching your plan's limit, consider upgrading or optimizing large files (compressed images, video hosted externally, etc.).
