If you run a cPanel reseller account, connecting it to WHMCS automates account provisioning, suspension, and termination whenever an order is placed.
Prerequisites
- A working cPanel Reseller account.
- A working WHMCS installation.
Step 1: Generate an API token
Log in to WHM, go to the API Tokens section (under Development or API), click Generate API Token, name it (e.g. "WHMCS API Token"), choose the permissions it needs, and save the generated token securely.
Step 2: Add the server in WHMCS
Go to System Settings > Servers > Add New Server and fill in a name, hostname/IP, Type = cPanel, your reseller username, password, and the API token as the Access Hash. Click Test Connection, then Save Changes.
Step 3: Create a server group
Go to System Settings > Servers > Create New Group, name it, set Fill Type to "Add to the least full server", and add the server from Step 2.
Step 4: Create the product
Under System Settings > Products/Services, create a new group, then a new product with Product Type = Hosting Account, using the server group from Step 3 and your desired pricing.
Step 5: Configurable options (optional)
If you'd like customers to choose things like disk space or bandwidth at checkout, set these up under System Settings > Configurable Options and assign them to your product.
Step 6: Test it
Place a test order for the product. WHMCS should automatically create the corresponding account on your cPanel reseller server.
