How to choose a strong password

Weak or reused passwords are the most common cause of compromised accounts. A strong password should:

  • Be at least 12 characters long.
  • Mix uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.
  • Avoid dictionary words, names, or obvious substitutions (like “P@ssw0rd”).
  • Be unique — never reused across your client area, control panel (DirectAdmin or cPanel), email, and WordPress admin.

We recommend using a password manager to generate and store strong, unique passwords for every account.
