If you'd rather manage your playlists and DJ'ing entirely from your own computer, you can connect a live encoder directly without using Auto-DJ. This gets you streaming in minutes, though it does require a stable internet connection throughout your broadcast.
Step 1: Disable Auto-DJ
Go to Configuration > Settings > Auto-DJ and set it to Permitted and Disabled.
Step 2: Start your stream
Go to Server > Start.
Step 3: Connect your encoder
Find your connection details under General > Quick Links > When AutoDJ is not running:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Protocol | Shoutcast (v1) or Icecast |
| Server hostname | your streaming server's hostname |
| Server port | your stream's port (usually 8000–9999) |
| Username | Source |
| Password | your Source Password, found under Settings > Source Password |
Enter these into your encoder (e.g. RocketBroadcaster, BUTT, or LadioCast) and start broadcasting. Once live, you can share your station's HTTPS audio link anywhere that supports MP3 audio.
