Using a Live Encoder Without Auto-DJ in CentovaCast

If you'd rather manage your playlists and DJ'ing entirely from your own computer, you can connect a live encoder directly without using Auto-DJ. This gets you streaming in minutes, though it does require a stable internet connection throughout your broadcast.

Step 1: Disable Auto-DJ

Go to Configuration > Settings > Auto-DJ and set it to Permitted and Disabled.

Step 2: Start your stream

Go to Server > Start.

Step 3: Connect your encoder

Find your connection details under General > Quick Links > When AutoDJ is not running:

SettingValue
ProtocolShoutcast (v1) or Icecast
Server hostnameyour streaming server's hostname
Server portyour stream's port (usually 8000–9999)
UsernameSource
Passwordyour Source Password, found under Settings > Source Password

Enter these into your encoder (e.g. RocketBroadcaster, BUTT, or LadioCast) and start broadcasting. Once live, you can share your station's HTTPS audio link anywhere that supports MP3 audio.
