Auto-DJ supports several playlist types, each suited to a different purpose. Make sure Auto-DJ is already set up before creating advanced playlists.
Creating a playlist
Go to Auto-DJ > Playlists > Create Playlist, choose a type, configure it, then add music to it.
Playlist types
- General Rotation: the default type — at least one is required for Auto-DJ to run. Played whenever no Scheduled, Interval, or Immediate playlist is due.
- Scheduled: plays a specific set of tracks during a set date/time window — useful for shows or day-specific content.
- Interval: plays a track after every set number of songs or minutes — useful for ads or station idents.
- Immediate: plays after the end of every track — typically used for song requests.
Key settings by type
General Rotation: Playback Sort Order (Random or Sequential); Playback Weight (1–20) to prioritize one rotation playlist over another.
Scheduled: date/time to start, whether it repeats, playback order, whether it can be interrupted, and how long it plays before stopping (0 = play to completion).
Interval: how many songs between plays, and whether to play one random track or the whole playlist in order.
Immediate: Playback Sort Order (Random or Sequential).
