AzuraCast makes it simple to upload media and organize it into playlists, with the option to schedule them for specific times or dates.
Accessing your station
Log in to AzuraCast, then click Manage next to your station under Station Overview to reach its dashboard.
Creating a playlist
Go to Playlists > Add Playlist and configure:
- Playlist Name — shown on the schedule view.
- Source — usually "Song-Based" (use "Remote URL" only for a remote audio feed).
- Avoid Duplicate Artists/Titles, On-Demand Player, Allow Requests, Hide Metadata — optional toggles for how the playlist behaves.
- Playlist Type — General Rotation (standard, weighted playback), Once per X Songs, Once per X Minutes, Once per Hour, or Advanced (for custom Liquidsoap configuration).
- Song Playback Order — Shuffled, Random, or Sequential.
Scheduling a playlist
Edit the playlist, open the Schedule tab, click Add Schedule Item, and set the date and time it should play.
Advanced options
Under the Advanced tab you can let a playlist interrupt whatever's currently playing at its scheduled time, restrict it to a single track per trigger, or merge its songs into one continuous track (handy for mixes).
Public schedule
Your station's dashboard has a "Schedule" link under Public Pages — a publicly viewable page listeners can use to see what's coming up.
